Job Description

Checkbox Survey Solutions is an established, but startup-minded company that develops online survey and feedback solutions for companies large and small around the globe. We are currently seeking a driven sales professional who’s hungry for a challenge. If you’re someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives under pressure and is looking for the chance to help shape our sales process and product direction, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This position is full-time, reports to the COO, and is based in our Watertown headquarters.

We have built a solid foundation on our core software business, but are seeking to both expand that business and take advantage of exciting new opportunities in parallel markets. Our new sales executive will be fundamental to our success in these new markets by helping us find ways to streamline our sales process, providing input on product pricing and positioning, and performing the essential sales functions of lead generation, nurturing, and closing.

Our ideal sales candidate will have worked in a small company environment and have had experience and success building a sales organization and process from the ground up. You should be willing to roll up your sleeves to do the daily work of soliciting new leads, contacting existing leads, running demos, closing, and tracking follow-ups. At the same time, you need to be able to rise above the daily details to see the big picture and give critical input on customer feedback, market conditions, the competitive landscape, and more.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; degree in technology-related field a plus
  • 1-5 years sales experience, software or technical start-up environment strongly preferred
  • Superior communication, selling, and negotiating skills
  • Assertive, self-motivated, innovative personality
  • Technically proficient; experience with Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook; knowledge of web-based and/or database software a plus
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
