Is Checkbox a hosted service or do I install it on my servers?

Either. Checkbox Survey gives its customers the ultimate in software flexibility by offering hosted (SaaS) and server (installed) versions of the survey software. Checkbox also allows customers to migrate between versions if needed.

Checkbox Survey Online, our SaaS version, is available as a monthly or annual plan and is hosted on secure third-party servers (Rackspace). Checkbox Online is best for companies that lack extensive IT resources or infrastructure, want to spread their cost over time, or want an all-inclusive service.

Checkbox Survey Server, our installed version, is offered as a perpetual (one-time cost) software license and is installed on the customer's own server or network. Checkbox Survey Server is best for companies that can supply their own IT resources and want complete control over their survey environment. It is also beneficial for customers who want to be able to customize and extend their application with our Developer Tools (included in our Checkbox Survey Server Enterprise edition).

Checkbox Online and Server are both web-based and offer the same features and functionality. Both versions also offer many security and permissions settings to maintain data integrity at all times.
