FAQ

What is piping?

Piping allows you to use certain response, user, or other data in areas of your survey or invitation other than the area where the data is collected. For example, answer piping allows you to take an answer from one question and embed it into the text of a subsequent question (see detailed example below). You can also pipe user attributes such as name, company, or product version or response data such as current date, survey start date, or username into your survey items. There are many more piping options availabe with Checkbox Survey - feel free to contact us at +1-617-715-9605 for more details.

An example of Answer Piping might look like this:

Question 1: "What city do you live in?"
Answer 1: "New York"

Question 2 would then pipe in the answer to Question 1:
Question 2: "What is your favorite restaurant in New York?"
