Checkbox Survey’s User Management system is one of our customers’ favorite features because it allows administrators to assign granular roles and permissions to users, thus strictly controlling access to surveys, reports and data, as well as share resources like question libraries, respondent databases and style templates across organizations.

View More ScreenshotsCheckbox’s User Management system allows you to assign roles to your users, which control their ability to access functions in Checkbox such as survey administration, user administration, and report viewing. Roles, along with survey and report permissions, allow you to share or restrict access to your surveys, reports, style templates, and other Checkbox features.

Similar to other areas of Checkbox, the User Manager gives you an at-a-glance view of your users, their profile information, user groups they are assigned to, and their user roles.

Checkbox users can be added one at a time or imported from a csv file. Roles and user groups can be assigned during the upload process. Batch changes can also be made using the upload manager, such as addiing existing users to a new user group.

Easily Add, Organize and Administer

Users can be entered manually, imported in bulk, created through self-registration, or created using Checkbox’s built-in Active Directory support. Customers with developer tools can also use the Web Services to create and administer users.

Integrate with Existing User Databases

Using Checkbox’s provider-based user authentication and profile model, it is possible to write a custom user profile provider to authenticate and get profile information from different databases.

Customizable User Profiles

Checkbox Survey allows users to have an unlimited number of custom user attributes, which can be created via the user settings screen.

Bulk User Import Wizard

Checkbox User Management allows for copy & paste or upload of a comma separated text file. The User Import Wizard is capable of importing several thousand users at a time.

Data Security

Checkbox user passwords and database connection information can both be encrypted, ensuring user and customer data security.

Standard Registration Features

Checkbox allows self-registration, including a “Forgot Password” feature, which emails the user a password reminder. User passwords are encrypted in the database.
