Generating Answer Report

I would like to know if it is possible to use the API to generate an exported answers report similar to what can be done in the checkbox application's report section. I would like to give users the ability to get that data without needing to leave our application, log into checkbox, etc.

Although it would be possible to export the data using the direct API there is no simple way. Much of the logic which constructs the export data exists in the export page itself and not the API.

We are currently working on releasing several new web services one of which covers reporting. I spoke with the developers working on these services and they informed me that they expect to have them available within the next month.

I know this thread is old, but other readers might like to know that this functionality was added to the version 4.5 developer kit.

Could you add more details? I have the documentation which describes each function call but no clue in there about how to string it all together. For example, how does Checkbox generate the HTML or XML or plain text for emailing completed responses out? Or iterate over each row in the exports?
