piping in the sum total value

Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to pipe a preceding numeric answer into the sum total value field

so that if the respondent first answers there are 100 employees and is after that asked the number of men and women, I would like the sum total field value to be piped with that 100 first answered.

Unfortunately it is not possible to pipe into the Sum field of a Matrix Sum Total at this time. We currently have a tracker item for this functionality and I will add a note indicating that there has been additional interest in it.

let me explain in what context this is useful


a first question ask the total number of salaries

a second question ask the distribution of the salaries by sex, then it would be great to use a sum total column that can check that the sum of men and women gives back the grand total

same thing for a third question asking a distribution by age range etc...

There has been no movement. At this time primary development is on Checkbox 5.0. The 5.0 release focuses on improvements to the products work-flow and UI. These changes are centered around survey creation and management.
