Question Installing into a 64 bit environment

Are there any special considerations needed for installing CheckBox into a 64 bit environment? We are attempting this on a virtual server, but are getting an error that it could not load file or assembly Checkbox.web. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

Any ideas would help. We checked the install document and believe we have followed the steps.

Please see our knowledge base article on installing Checkbox on a 64 bit server.

This would be a really good thing to note in the pre-requisites section of the installation document.

Is the only option to enable 32 bit compatibility? Is there a way to also provide .Net in 32 bit mode on the server? Part of the KB article reads:

By default, when the .NET 2.0 Framework is installed on x64 servers, it only installs the x64 version of ASP.NET ...

Is there another way to install .Net other than the default for 64 bit?

I will pass your suggestion onto the developers responsible for the install documentation.

At this time the steps outlined in the kb article are the only way to install Checkbox on a 64 bit server.

    Default Thank you.

I also submitted a ticket and called to find out when a 64 bit verison may become available.

    Thank you.

Ok, all set and will await IIS 7.

    Any update on this?

(This is also a complication in the development kit where you can't run an application using either the Direct API or Web Service API on a 64-bit server).
