Default Difficulty querying backend Checkbox database

In Ultimate Survey, I did a lot of querying of the backend SQL data using MS Access. In Checkbox, I'm having a terrible time using MS Access to query the database.

For example, the chbx_ResponseAnswers table. The ResponseID field is type Bigint, but in Access via ODBC, it thinks it is a text field, and it will not query it at all. It displays a datasheet with "#DELETED" in every cell.

I did some internet investigating and learned a little bit, but not enough to really get back to work. One suggestion was to insert the word "DISTINCT" in the select queries, but that does not always work (Says "ODBC Call failed.
the ntext data type cannot be selected as DISTINCT because it is not comparable.")

Any suggestions (other than abandoning MS Access!)?

    Thanks,
    Bonnie Hellevig

I have been speaking with the rest of the development team and unfortunately none of have experience with MS Access. I'm sorry we are not more help.
