This is not possible out of the box. You would have to have six separate questions that are conditionally shown based on the answer to the first drop down.
...answers when you need them
Hello,
I have a drop-down question with 6 options on my survey. Right after that I have another drop down menu with more options which are sub-categories of the first option. For each of the first option there are about 50 options (For example, a Country question that is followed by a city question). I don't want to give the change to the respondents to make a mistake, so I want only the applicable list to appear. However I want to do that without using many different questions that appear or disappear depending on the first answer, because I want to have 1 answer in the report.
Is this possible to do?
Thanks,
Nikos

At this time the only way to accomplish what you have described is to use conditional or branching logic to hide/show the sub questions based on the the answers to the main questions.
I was hoping I could avoid that. I want to export the responses to excel and have only one column for this question. With hidden questions I will have that many columns.
Thanks anyway!
