Error: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

Hi guys

Our Survey server has been working fine until recently.

Now, when users enter the URL to get to the surveys site, an error is given:
"Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection."

The survey site has been setup to connect to a SQL2000 DB and using the survey machine name as the DB user.

I am not aware of any changes that have been made to the actual config files of the surveys site.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated as the survey application is currently offline as a result.

This is not an issue we have seen before. If Checkbox has not been altered is it possible that your database configuration has changed? In researching the error I came across the following MSDN article which may be helpful.

You may receive a "Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection" error message when you try to connect to SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005

You can confirm the connection type and account Checkbox uses to connect to the database by examining the connection string located in your web.config file.
