integrating with unix site
Hi,
I have a site which incorporates a hand-rolled questionnaire system. I am looking at replacing the questionnaire system with checkbox. However, the current system runs on apache on linux, using mod_perl and mysql. 1 or 2 questionnaires are run a month, with responses in the thousands or low 10s of thousands.
How possible would it be to integrate this system with a copy of checkbox running on a separate windows server, if I want to include checkbox transparently within the rest of the site? Does checkbox have an api allowing remote calls? Or would I really need to rewrite the entire site in C# to achieve integration?
Thanks for any advice

Graham,
Thank you for your inquiry. Your best source for information regarding specific integration concerns would be a member of our sales team since they handle these types of requests on a daily basis.
There are many avenues for integration. In your case, since you are integrating with a non-windows environment, you may wish to make use of the web services that are included in the Checkbox Developer's kit. Currently, we provide a web service interaface for performing user and user group management. In our upcoming 4.5 release, we will be adding web services for deploying surveys, sending invitations, and downloading survey responses. (The exact release date is TBD, but we are shooting for late December / early January).
Another possible approach is to use checkbox to collect the data, then export the data to CSV or query the Checkbox DB (MS Sql Server and MS Sql Server Express) directly.
Thank you.
