...answers when you need them
hi
I'm in exactly the same boat. I installed under local host and all was fine I had full funtionallity.
I then changed the paths and uploaded to server and still was all ok but the poll did not post to db.
I then read this post and did a clean install and it's still the same. I previewed the vote in the admin and voted and this worked then went to the website and then it didn't work. why???
I have reset the poll, entered different answers and the allow user to respond again is checked.
I got it to work once only, after that no go
Any answers?

Hello,
I have been exploring this issue, but so far have been unable to duplicate a problem. By design, it is not possible to have multiple votes from the same browser for the same poll. This includes votes placed from the admin area preview. Also, changing the answers for a poll will not alter the ability to vote again from a particular browser. What happens when you create a new poll? Are you able to vote once for that poll?
Yes - I can vote again. The label on the admin tool of "Allow user to respond again" is misleading. I interpreted that (and so did the other user apparently) as it would allow the user to vote on this same poll again. Can you tell me what the function of that radio button does?
So if I'm not able to vote again on the same poll (even for testing) then what should it display if I have already voted? Not the question again... I can't get anything but the question to display on my page even after I've voted.
Ok - I got it to work and it is beautiful. The only annoyance is that the option to let them vote again is mis-leading. Because it only tracks one vote my users thought they could vote over and over and thought it was broken.
Just a terminology thing.
