Error message when attempting to install Checkbox Web Enterprise survey software on a Microsoft .NET

Symptom:

When attempting to install Checkbox Web Enterprise you may receive the following error message:

Parse Error Message: Unrecognized attribute "xmlns".

Cause:

This error occurs when you attempt to install Checkbox Web Enterprise on a Microsoft .NET 1.1 environment. Checkbox Web Enterprise requires version 2.0 of the .NET framework.
