Checkbox Survey Server Edition Requirements
Checkbox Survey Server Edition works on traditional servers, virtualized environments (such as VMware), and cloud instances, including Amazon Web Services, Rackspace Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
High Level Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows-based web server
- SQL Server 2005 (any edition) or higher
- Web browser (for designing surveys and completing surveys)
Detailed Requirements:

| Privileges | Administrator access to Web Server and Database Server required for installation. |
| Disk Space | 1GB for application installation and base database; Overall database size depends number of surveys, users, and responses. |

* Checkbox requires ASP.NET 4.0. IIS 6 only supports one running version of ASP.NET (e.g. 2.0 or 4.0) at a time.
* Larger scale deployments, such as those with many simultaneous survey editors, may require more RAM.
*** For optimal performance in high load situations, the database server software should not be hosted on the same physical machine as the web server.
