Checkbox Survey provides you with several convenient options for deploying a survey:

  • Send survey link via email invitation
  • Copy and paste survey URL
  • Share survey link on Facebook
  • Share survey link on Twitter
  • Embed a live survey into a web page

What is unique about the last option is that it is the only one that doesn’t require potential respondents to click a link in order to take your survey, form, poll, or whatever it is you have created to collect data. That one extra step could make or break a response, so why not remove the middleman?

In this week’s Checkbox Tip, we will show you how to improve a survey’s response rate by embedding it directly into your website or blog.

Step 1: Select Launch from your Survey Editor.

Step 2: On the “Share” step of the Launch Wizard, select Embed. An embed tag will appear. Copy the code and give it to your website administrator to implement on your web page.

If you are embedding the survey into a blog post like the one you’re reading right now, simply paste the embed code directly into the code/HTML view. Below are two examples of embedded surveys:
